ThoughtMirror ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the ThoughtMirror mobile application (the "App").

Information We Collect

Information Stored On Your Device Only

The following information is stored exclusively on your device and is never transmitted to our servers:

• Journal Entries: All conversations with Mirror (our AI companion), including your messages and AI responses
• Mood Data: Your mood ratings and any notes you add
• User Preferences: App settings, notification preferences, and customization options
• Health Data: If you choose to connect Apple Health, any health metrics (sleep, steps, heart rate) are processed locally

Information We May Collect

• Analytics Data: We may collect anonymous, aggregated usage statistics to improve the App. This data cannot identify you personally.
• Purchase Information: If you subscribe to ThoughtMirror Premium, Apple processes your payment. We receive confirmation of your subscription status but never see your payment details.
• Crash Reports: If the App crashes, anonymous diagnostic information may be sent to help us fix bugs.

How Your Data Is Processed

On-Device AI Processing

ThoughtMirror uses Apple's on-device AI technology (Foundation Models) to power conversations with Mirror. This means:

• ✓ AI processing happens entirely on your iPhone
• ✓ Your conversations are never sent to external servers
• ✓ No cloud AI services (like ChatGPT or Claude) are used
• ✓ Your reflections remain completely private

Information We Do NOT Collect

We want to be crystal clear about what we don't do:

• ✗ We do NOT read your journal entries
• ✗ We do NOT have access to your mood data
• ✗ We do NOT sell any data to third parties
• ✗ We do NOT use your data for advertising
• ✗ We do NOT share your information with data brokers
• ✗ We do NOT create profiles about you
• ✗ We do NOT track your location

Apple Health Integration

If you choose to connect ThoughtMirror to Apple Health:

• Health data is read locally on your device to provide mood-health correlations
• Health data is never transmitted off your device
• We may write "Mindful Minutes" to Apple Health to track your reflection time
• You can revoke Health access at any time in Settings → Privacy → Health

Third-Party Services

Your Rights

Since your data stays on your device, you have complete control:

• Access: Your data is in the App on your device
• Delete: Delete entries within the App, or delete the App entirely
• Export: Premium users can export their journal entries
• Portability: Your data is yours; use the export feature to take it anywhere

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the App and updating the "Last Updated" date.
